A precursor to glutathione is nacetlycysteine which I take for some asthma and breathing problems and that becomes glutathione. I also take some glutathione and my knees seem better these days. Best, Phyllis Liu, OD, FCOVD Woodbridge, Ct.
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine is excellent as well. It is becoming a standard ingredient in eye-focused multivitamins.
I also like Dr Bernes MSM eyedrops although they sting a little when I first put them in. My dry eyes are improving! Cheers!
I take an oral supplement Glutathione by Protocol for life. Would using it directly in eyes also help,re; your reply?
Hi Lynette,
There is a difference in the absorption of oral vs sublingual glutathione. I prefer the sublingual glutathione.
Improving antioxidants within the body is important – the eyes are connected to the whole body.
A strong eye-focused multivitamin, Vitamin C, Glutathione, Lutein, Zeaxanthin, and astaxanthin are excellent options. For direct use in the eyes, I prefer MSM Eye drops. They are shown to be anti-inflammatory and increase cell permeability. Both of these features help the eyes better utilize and absorb the nutrients that you consume orally. I have 3 eye issues, cataracts worsened from a medication, limiting vision in my good eye. I also use Glutathione for high copper. Do you sell both, eye drops & the supplement, what would equal a dose of: 500mg w.milk thistle. I have a full bottle right now,, can order yours when its gone.I need the best eye drops you have for my worsened cataracts. Medication that did this l have down to 25mg from 100. THX.
Hi Lynette. Glutathione and eye drops can be found on the webstore: https://store.drsamberne.com/
The Clarity protocol is also popular among others with cataracts. I’d also recommend trying my eye exercises: https://www.drsamberne.com/eye-exercises/
